Estimated Completion Time: Connors Custom Repairs will provide an estimated completion time for your repair service and will contact you once work is complete. Please contact us if you require an updated estimated completion time. Unforeseen circumstances may have an impact on our ability to complete the repair(s) as provided in the estimate.

Impact of Upgrades: Please be advised that it is your responsibility to understand the impact of upgrades to the operating system, applications and utility software. Such upgrades can lead to incompatibilities and the possible loss of data. Computer hardware and software work together and incompatibility may not become apparent until a later date. You are responsible for contacting the manufacturer of your software regarding compatibility issues before you request any upgrades.

Liability: Connors Custom Repairs liability for damage to your IT equipment is limited only to any damage which is determined to be caused by Problem Solved negligent acts or negligent omissions. Our liability for repairs is limited to the total price of the repairs. Be aware that certain repairs, including but not limited to virus and spyware removal, hard drive replacement and hardware repairs may damage software and/or data installed on your computer. This is to be expected and may require the re-installation of your operating system, programs, and data.

Loss of Data: Data is the most important part of a computer system because it is often irreplaceable. Due to the process of repair, data may get damaged or at worst, deleted. Connors Custom Repairs will not accept liability for any loss of data as a result of any IT repair request. You are responsible for backing up your own data.

Privacy: Our Technicians will not browse through your hard drive looking at your data; however, they may inadvertently see data during the course of their work. Please remove any personal or private files you do not want others to see. Additionally Connors Custom Repairs may be required to report illegal content including unlicensed software or data such as images or videos to law enforcement agencies if discovered.

Right to Refuse: In its sole discretion, Connors Custom Repairs reserves the right to refuse work that it believes is beyond the scope of its ability or for other good cause.

Abandonment: If you do not pick up your equipment within ninety (90) days after we notify you that the requested service is complete, we will treat your equipment as abandoned. You agree to forfeit your property to cover the cost of the repair and storage fees. No refund or buy back will be allowed or negotiated.

Scope of Work: Connors Custom Repairs will only perform the work agreed upon when you bring your IT equipment in for repair. You must authorize, in writing, any additional work which may be required.

Warranty: ConnorsCustomRepairs offers 3 months warranty on ALL repairs. This warranty covers all workmanship pertaining to the repair and also for the part that was replaced or repaired against failure. Any other failures outside of the scope of repair is not covered under this warranty. No liability will be taken for any other component failing unless a direct result from the failed repair. No warranty will be honoured if the console shows signs of water damage around the area unless not directly effecting the repair area. HDMI ports and USB ports are covered however physical damage will void any warranty.

Prior repair attempt: Any prior repair attempt that was unsuccessful that has been brought to ConnorsCustomRepairs is subject to repair under the discretion of a member of staff. We have the right to refuse repair if we deem it not economically viable. Any repair we undertake that is deemed unrepairable is subject to a £20 repair attempt fee. This fee is non negotiable.

Pricing: If the product is in for repair however diagnostics finds something beyond economic repairability such as APU, CPU or severe water damage a fee of £15 will be charged to cover the cost and time spent diagnosing and attempting a repair. This fee is to cover the cost of materials and labour. Alternatively Connors Custom Repairs may offer you a valuation to purchase the device from you after the £15 deductible fee to use for parts. This is discretionary and we are not obligated to purchase the faulty product from you. Any work carried out beyond the work and price quoted and you do not decide to go ahead with the repair then a £15 fee will apply for diagnostic costs involved. We aim to give an accurate quote prior to repair however due to the nature of the repair business it is hard to accurately price a repair without fully completing diagnostics, however we aim to give you a quote based on our past experience and knowledge and the quote is subject to change.

Repair work: When disassembling consoles and devices in general there is a possibility of disturbing the BGA chips and any underlying issue may present itself once the pressure is removed off the board. We will not be held responsible for a device failing due to disassembly and reassembly although we will try our best to diagnose any underlying issue. This is usually solder ball cracks or separation from the main board. We will not be held responsible for devices failing during a repair attempt due to the nature of the repair business. Any screen or LCD damage is not covered by us when disassembling devices due to the fragile nature of the devices. Sometimes they may crack or fail when disassembling but we try our best to limit these occurrences by special techniques and tools and so are rare events. Acceptance of this document shows acceptance of the above terms and conditions.

Iphone repairs: Please note there is a small possibility of the touch ID function to fail when changing screens when the flex cables become brittle or has been bent too many times. Please note this is very rare and we will try our best to ensure this does not happen, however on rare occasions this cannot be fixed and is an apple only repair as the home button is serialised and paired to the phone. The home button will function as normal however the touch ID function will fail to work. This is also the same on newer Iphones with Face ID.

Newer Iphones and battery’s: Newer Iphones require the battery’s BMS to be swapped over to prevent the battery message popping up. We do not offer this service as standard and charge an extra £50 for transplant and welding/programming. Please note you may end up with a message stating the battery may not be genuine without this service, however all our battery’s are either genuine or OEM. This does not effect the phones use and is 100% capacity.

Iphone 11 screen replacements: After replacing the screen on an iPhone 11 / pro / max there will be a display stating "unable to verify this display is genuine" this happens even if the screen is genuine due to the screen being coded by apple. This does not effect use and the message will disappear to the settings section after a few days.

Iphone battery's: Please note when changing battery's on newer generation Iphones it may display on the phone as "unable to verify this Iphone has a genuine Apple battery." The battery used are OEM and provide the same capacity and reliability and this message cannot be avoided even when using genuine battery's due to the battery's being serialised to the Iphone. 

Iphone 13 screen replacements: On Iphone 13 phones when changing the front screen the front camera is linked to the Iphone screen and when changing the screen the front camera will fail to function as intended. This is a global issue faced by repair shops and until a solution is rolled out unfortunately the only solution is to either use Apple repair to maintain the front camera function or have a non working front camera.

Online postage / Mail in service: ConnorsCustomRepairs cannot be held liable for any loss or damage related to delivery couriers when sending or receiving electronic devices. By sending us your device you agree to the risks associated with sending electronics with a courier and the possibility of loss or damage and so you may explicitly state to ConnorsCustomRepairs if you want you device shipping fully insured and you agree to pay the additional cost of this service.
